another one of my projects that i have finally accepted i will never have a chance to finish. I am going to trim down my collection in order to make space and improvements to the shop. This 260z came out of eastern oregon a few years back. The gentleman i had purchased it from had bought it as a project many years ago and started some body work/paint prep but stalled out. Currently not running i wa unable to get spark and fuel tank should be cleaned out. I did start it a few months back ran but for a short time on starting fluid. It has worn teeth on flywheel so starter does skip occasionally. Brakes work. All lights,signals work including under hood, dome and map lights. No battery. Has had a repair on the radiator but i will include a good used replacement.
Excellent newer exhaust system
the windshield is broken i have a new one available at added cost.
The seats are original tears and split seams and patched areas on the drivers side. The interior door and plastic panels are in great shape. As is the headliner and sun visors. No front carpet, rear cargo carpet is a aftermarket replacement. Original floor mats drivers side is missing fuzz. No front carpet. Diamond vinyl in back has some knicks, center hump is good. Great console. Dash has a cover.
The body is probably the best attribute to this project. Besides the front fender bottoms and some holes in flat sections of floors left frame rail bottom dented a bit, good pinch welds, no rust otherwise, great battery box area, the body of this z is nice and mostly straight, has some minor dings. Some previous damage on rear panel behind bumper. Most likely due to its favorable climate in the desert. Including a rust free left side fender lower fender repair panel large enough to fix both sides.
The dealer added side trim pieces are includes but will need new rubber centers. All emblems included in good condition as are rain gutter and windshield stainless trim.
List of issues i have noted:
needs all new body rubber
needs windshield washer pump
needs carb kits/rubber fuel lines
needs fuel tank cleaned/inspected with camera some very slight scale in spots only
missing fuel filler rubber flap
lh lower door hinge worn but great used replacement is included
broken windshield
oem radio missing
tail light trim chrome peeling (one replacement is included with sale)
bumper rubber corners need replacement
bumper rubber fillers on front have slight damage
tires are excellent but smaller than stock 185/70-14 size
spare tire is new in correct 195/70-14 size
floor needs work
minor rust spots on lower fenders
needs bodywork and paint
slight ding in front bumper
antenna not working
wheel center caps are rusty
slight scratch spots in door glass
if you win the auction, please note that you will need to send a smaller flat bed tow truck in order to access the property. Once off the property and out of the neighborhood it can be transported onto a larger transport trailer.
