i have owned this car for a few years, fun car to drive. Last owner was in possession for over 35 years, concord, nc.
Small block v8 replaced original 2.6l 6 cyl in 80’s. Holley 4 bbl carb.
Jags that run motor swap kit was used specific to datsun z cars.
This could be taken back to original engine and trans if someone wanted to. Factory brake pedal and clutch assembly still in car for going back to 4spd or 5spd set up.
R200 rear diff installed, along with custom drive shaft for v8 tranny.
World s/r torquer high performance heads installed on this small block chevy 350.
Casting number s/r i-052 see pics.
Custom heat shields for passenger wiring harness on frame rail and near battery for manifold exhaust heat. Later model turbo z 15″ wheels replaced factory 14″rims. New tires, less than 500 miles summit hp 205/60/15. Gas tank pulled, cleaned, blasted and professionally re-lined which i have receipts for. New electric fuel pump and filter. All new gas tank hoses as well. Original 240z spare rim/tire, with original scissor jack and accessories. Car was a/c equipped including custom a/c compressor bracket. I have compressor bracket needed to re-install if desired.
This 240z was originally green (code 302 leaf green metallic) car, painted over 35 years ago black. Single stage paint has held up well, typical patina on front fenders. Body is in very good condition, all original panels, no bondo, etc. . ..See pics for body condition.
Rust free passenger and driver frame rails and battery tray. Note pics.
Superficial floor board surface rust driver and passenger. Note pics, as well as, behind both seats. New front and rear carpet. Aftermarket sunroof installed long ago, does not leak. Possible this could have been dealer added option.
80’s pioneer head unit, speakers behind seats. All electrical working. Electric fan backs aluminum radiator with thermostat and manual switch on console. Runs good, cranks up fine, new starter, thermostat, new cap, rotor, plugs and wires. Flowmaster exhaust, trans cooler added when v8 was installed.
