1974 Datsun 260 Z

280 block bored over with e88 head, very torquey with dual weber 32/36 carbs and header. , 5-speed trans. I believe I am the 2nd owner, I’ve had it for 40 years, came into our Datsun shop where I was a mechanic with a seized engine and I bought it.  15 years in Southern CA and 25 years in AZ. engine, trans have approx 10,000 miles on them. it was hit in the front lightly in 1983, core support and fenders are original. the rear bumper and hatch have dents from when I backed into a cement mixer, straight spare hatch goes with the car. . after I bought it I replace about everything on the car, last registered in 2010 but drove it around private roads multiple times every year. the car has 149k true miles on it.

Has an electric fan because I couldn’t stand the original fan clutch howl, there’s still faded factory part numbers from all the work i did.   recent: oil and filter, resealed oil pan, rear engine main seal, clutch,( it has the larger

2plus 2 clutch and flywheel), coolant hoses, fuel hoses, new tires, rear brakes and wheel cylinders. shifter bushings and boot, new console with original radio not hooked up. runs and drives excellent. right after I bought it I undercoated the entire bottom of car, rust is minimal and nothing structural. original spare, jack, and tools. surface rust in spare tire well. factory 280 oe Nissan vented hood. has the larger later model rear differential. you can text me and ill call you back and answer any questions you have. hate to let it go but it’s time to thin the herd.
