More Details: I really hate typing up this ad but it’s inevitable. This car is my baby but I need something at least semi-appropriate for Minnesota winters.
This car is truly a work in progress. It’s extremely close to being a running driving car but I’m going to focus on what has been done before going into what it still needs.
-All new brakes and brake lines + rear disk conversion
-New brake + clutch master cylinder
-All new clutch and fuel hard lines also run.
-Most wiring gone through and grounds cleaned up
-Some new bushings installed, I bought a full Energy Suspension poly kit that I never finished installing but will throw in.
-L28e+5spd swap from 81 280ZX. Engine had 80K miles on it when pulled
-Block painted white (Really looks nice if you keep it clean)
-Head completely gone through by machine shop
-Fairly rare N42 Non-EGR intake manifold
-Exedy OEM clutch
-Aluminum 3 core radiator
-MSA 6-1 header
-All new gaskets
-New timing set, oil pump, water pump, belts, hoses, starter
-Innovate LC-2 wideband
-Megasquirt 1 – V2.2 mainboard
-Windows 10 tablet mounted in dash. Can tune the ECU from it if you buy a serial-bluetooth adapter, also will work as head unit + gps + whatever else you want it to do really
-Original skinny bumpers included but not mounted
-All fresh fluids, diff, trans, and engine.
There’s more than likely more that I’m forgetting but just ask. I also have a good amount of parts that I’ll throw in too.
Now on to the what still needs to be done
-Fuel cell or other fuel tank needs to be bought and mounted. All the plumbing is there, just need to find something that fits
-Exhaust. Currently open header. You can leave it that way if you like though
-Some gauges need to be adapted or replaced
-Megasquirt ECU needs to be wired up the rest of the way
-New alternator and wiring done to bypass original ext voltage regulator
-Tires. All are fairly old and have slow leaks.
-Rust repair. What, you thought you would find a S30 for sale in Minnesota without rust? Sorry.
Finish that and you have yourself a super awesome 260Z. I’m totally willing to help you work on the car after you buy it too. I’ve learned this car inside and out, always willing to share knowledge with someone who will love the car as much as I do. LOUVERS ARE NOT ATTACHED. In most of the pictures the louvers are just sitting on the car, not attached yet. Yes, they will come with. I’m going to continuously work on the car until it sells but the price will stay the same unless I do something major. If you don’t have a trailer I can dolly it to your house for the cost of gas.
