Selling a very solid early production year 1974 Datsun 260Z.
98000 original miles. Upgrades, rebuilds, and new parts all installed approx. 4000 miles ago. Under battery tray, lower front fenders, dog leg, wheel well, floorboards, etc. are very solid with no rust.
This car was originally from Indiana and brought to Canada in 2005. The L26 original engine is complete with E88 head (I have a completely rebuilt E31 head off a 1970 240Z that can be purchased separately). The N33 intake system with Hitachi SU carburettors from a 1973 240Z has been completely rebuilt.
The exhaust consists of a ceramic-coated one-piece header with custom-built 308 stainless steel 2.5″ tubing exiting to a Magnaflow performance muffler and custom tip (original exhaust manifold included with sale). The original 4-speed, R180 differential and moustache bar was replaced and is now upgraded to a rebuilt 5-speed (out of a 1975 280Z), R200 differential and moustache bar with urethane bushings (original transmission, differential and bar come with the sale).
Interior is complete and in very nice condition with new seat foam and genuine leather upholstery on rebuilt front seat frames. Dashboard is not cracked. All glass Nissan original with 35% professional tint on rear hatch and back side glass. Upgraded halogen headlights replace original 7″ sealed beams. Chrome on the front and rear bumpers are in very nice condition. 15″ Watanabe racing wheels with 205/60R15 Michelin Premier tires with excellent tread. New: 3row radiator; brake master cylinder, front callipers, pads, rotors; battery; clutch master cylinder; starter.
This car tracks well and is very tight on curvy roads. Fun to drive with very decent power. Even better bolt-on performance available with the E31 head. SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY. Not interested in any trades except a tractor with loader attached. Car was previously registered in BC so will require an out-of-province vehicle inspection.
